Jakobus 1:11

SV	Want de zon is opgegaan met de hitte, en heeft het gras dor gemaakt, en zijn bloem is afgevallen, en de schone gedaante haars aanschijns is vergaan; alzo zal ook de rijke in zijn wegen verwelken.

ASV	For the sun ariseth with the scorching wind, and withereth the grass: and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his goings.
BE	For when the sun comes up with its burning heat, the grass gets dry and the grace of its form is gone with the falling flower; so the man of wealth comes to nothing in his ways.

Darby	For the sun has risen with its burning heat, and has withered the grass, and its flower has fallen, and the comeliness of its look has perished: thus the rich also shall wither in his goings.

LSG	Le soleil s'est levé avec sa chaleur ardente, il a desséché l'herbe, sa fleur est tombée, et la beauté de son aspect a disparu: ainsi le riche se flétrira dans ses entreprises.

Sch	Denn kaum ist die Sonne mit ihrer Hitze aufgegangen, so verdorrt das Gras, und seine Blume fällt ab, und seine schöne Gestalt vergeht; so wird auch der Reiche in seinen Wegen verwelken.
Web	For the sun hath no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and its flower falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
Weym	The sun rises with his scorching heat and dries up the herbage, so that its flowers drop off and the beauty of its appearance perishes, and in the same way rich men with all their prosperity will fade away.
